Dropige

Again, this pic was taken for the shutter speed assignment in photography taken at a really high shutter speed to get the drop just before it fell. I had to take like 20 pictures before I got one that looked good though.

Midair Magazine

This picture was taken in my sister’s room (a quick look around should give that way) and depicts her people magazine being thrust upon Alex by yours truly. It is of course suspended in the air not by strings or anything, but a super fast shutter (I think it was 1/180) and a handy dandy timer.

Table Bleu

I took this pic in the lower commons of Sunset. After wondering around the school 2 or 3 times looking desperately for an example of colored light, I found my self around the vending machines in the lower commons were I was wishing that It was pitch black right now, so that the backlight of the front of the Pepsi machine would cast its bluey-ness all over the floor. I found however, a used water bottle that had been despicably thrown under in hopes of avoiding having to put it into the recycle containers located but a few feet away.

I quickly picked it up and ran down the stairs (all 3 of them) and set the bottle up on the table. Were the sun was shinning through the windows above the clock. It was actually my “partner” (I use this term loosely, because there was no real partnership going on, he just suggested this one thing, and I helped him out a little) who suggested that I lay the bottle down. Whether I would have come up with this idea on my own, I do not know, but it was a good idea, and made it a much better shot.

Backlit Fire Hydrant

So, this was taken at school outside of 3 hall for a photography assignment were we have to go around and get different pictures of different kinds of light and how the affect different objects. So this one is back light, were the sun in coming in and obscuring all of the other light behind the fire hydrant giving it that happy halo affect. With any luck, ill get some more pics that are actually worth something, because so far, just roaming around school. I have not found very much that is inspirational. So now this weekend, I will hopefully be able to roam around the neighborhood and see what there is to see.
